Actually he recovered too soon and hard and initiated a second stall causing the final crash.

@Captn777 no kidding, a wing fence may have been the difference between a couple thousand dollars of repairs here.
well they invented stall strips for a reason, apparently this dc-10 miniature replica didnt have a couple of stall strips.. too bad for the owner i guess :p
@sk8rdude222 Aircraft are not like cars, the term stall comes from the airflow over the wing which breaks up and stops producing enough lift to carry the plane. Swept wings have an even greater problem, once the tip stalls it takes the whole wing with it, causing this plane to roll sharply and nose to the ground. stall recovery is simple though, opposite roll, rudder nose down increase power recover, pitch up.

I think you may have stalled it by enetering that turn a little slower than normal

Jeez the DC-10 really did earn its self a bad reputation didnt it lol what it had cargo doors blowing out, engines blowing up, engines falling off etc etc, but this video really takes the biscuit as in it just had to be a DC-10 lol. I hope that the damage was mendable
nice looking bird and thats a lot of dollar.
it did just what a airliner with swept back wings would do. you cant get behind the power with a jet. nose down when going around turns. scary but thats what would happen to the real one in the same situation
