I did like this ship and may make another, but as you can see, I have my hands full at the moment.

Hi there.
I’ve just noticedIi had I had left the previous letter unanswered, and have given them the name of the model boat company. It’s Model Slipway, here in England, and I know the owners very well. They are an excellent company to deal with and I recommend them wholeheartedly.
The price is £235 plus VAT. Hope this helps.
Ken

Hi Ken, where can I find a complete kit of this or simular modell? Regards Jan
Nothing worst than loosing a Prop at sea, I should imagine it was necessity for these workhorses.
ken
I knew the car needs spare tire.
does the boat need the spare props too???
Thank you. I appreciate your comments. It’s a great hobby.
cheers
Ken
kool ship
It’s a 6 volt motor which drives a vertical shaft. At the tubes end there is a vertical paddle.
The water is sucked in at one end and propelled through to the tubes and out of other side. There are picture on the build film, so you can see more detail
Cheers. Ken
Beautiful ship!!! I noticed what looks like a bow thruster. What’s on the end of the vertical motor that moves the water through the pipe?
Have a read of the comments above for the full report
How did it sink? Was it a bad shaft seal or something?
Welcome all. It’s the place to be if you’re into model boats.

I can’t wait Ken. I just signed up at modelboatmayhem and I’m in awe of your boats and the other builds over there.
Thank you for your kind comments
I’ve had a lot of requests for a movie of her sailing, so I guess I’ll make one when the weather improves.
Awesome boat. I was shocked when it sank. Totally unexpected ’cause I was waiting for some nice shots of it cruising along the water.
from Hovanti
Really nice model there…so, vessels like that actually had a spare screw? That is interesting…

Thanks for your comments, hovanti.
I’m sorry but pressed the wrong button to reply, and it was deleted by accident. Cheers

I was distracted and forgot to latch down the hatches. The water was choppy and was forced inside the hull. I could see her getting lower in the water, but couldn’t get her back in time.
No damage was done, so all is well
cheers
ken
how did she sink on u??
Thank you for your comments. I’ve built a few more since then. Can’t seem to stop !!!
