@Reaper8520 Yes, you cannot run a lipo too low on voltage. Also, if you exceed the ESC’s voltage input, or it needs an external BEC (refer to your owners manual), then you could fry the ESC. The ESC could have also been faulty and some of the high powered systems can fry upon initial turn on. If you had a fully charged pack and the cells on the lipo were within the norm for that ESC then contact the manufacturer.
Is there a limit to how long you can run rc with a lipo, My scrt 10 esc turned into flames this weekend on the first battery i put in.( It is a Brushless system)
@Squirrelod ok but the litle program buton will it work affter ??
@stevesnow007 This is for any system.
can i do this whit the novak hv pro because is not the same size and dimention ?
can i just use the spray
when it dries it is a rubberized solid and doesnt short out the whole circuit
okay, this will be apllied onto the electronics and then dry out and it is rubber so it doesnt conduct electricity. when there isnt any seeling on it and water goes though it, it shorts out the WHOLE circuit and dies.
That works for some. But, others want more torque, speed, etc. So, this method will still hold true for a lot of people.
i just brought a traxxas waterproof servo instead
i have a traxxas XL-1 esc, will i use the same steps as in this video?
Only if you want to permanently seal the ESC. I dont recommend it.
will GOOP work to waterproof a esc?
ok thanks
Plastic dip is a rubber.
not only the salt water but the plasti dip is a liquid so how does it not damage???
Saltwater?
For one- if you get a scratch on anything metal (like metal gears that mesh) will rust. In fact, most of your kit will.
Two- salt water instantly fries components.
Becuase of number 1 you dont want to get any kit next to salt water and especially electronics.
what i dont understand is it is still a liquid so how does it not damage the components
Dont put any RC in saltwater.
i watched the whole seriese and was wondering if the motor and evrything saltwater proof?
i found it helpful doing this use a led flash light to look it over to check for spots u might have missed
Hi,
Just a question… How does this liquid tape react to heat? ESC can become quite warm..
Thanks for the video !
its universal to any ESC
hey squirrel will this work on a traxxas vxl esc? i mean i think it will but not shure. ive got the old vxl3s before they made it waterproof.
great vid
Got my tekin rx8 now and opend it for a peek.
